I am still practicing drawing and painting faces. I definitely see progress.
Here are a few that I have done from imagination instead of using a source image.

What really intrigues me is the huge difference between drawing a face from my imagination and drawing from a source image using contour line drawing. Take a look and tell me what you think.

This painting was done on a scrap of canvas and I used a source image (a stone angel from a cemetery). You can see that the contour drawings have such a different feel to them. Different yes, but I like it just as much.
