    Product: Apocalypse Series: High Noon

    Price: $50.00

This piece is no longer for sale. I have transformed it into a portrait mixed-media painting. It is available in my Etsy shop.

Painting #4 in the Apocalypse series.

This one is not in any way, shape or form a color palette you would see here in my south west Florida landscape. I took complete artistic license as I just wanted to paint this combination of colors in a seascape. It happens.

This piece is so striking I can be 20 ft. away from it and it catches my eye. I don’t think I quite captured it in the photos but I do not claim to be a professional photographer. After having access to even better supplies/tools I would love to have my paintings photographed by a professional. Maybe someday.

I did more brushwork on this painting than the others in this series. In a way I think I needed to regroup and start trying to merge the different techniques differently. It is all very subconscious with me.  I do things that I have thought of at odd times (like just before falling asleep) without realizing I am doing it. Only after do I have that ‘ah ha’ moment that I remember where /why I want to do that. And sometimes I don’t know where the idea/ inspiration comes from. Life is experienced, filed away and applied in a moment of subconscious frenzy. Or maybe I am channeling someone/something. You never know, I could be subconsciously psychic. Right!

While I am typing this I am watching a journal page dry. My eye keeps glancing over at it. I combined acrylics, watercolor, oil pastels and used a credit card too. All into one page spread. I freakin’ love it. I am having too many new ideas, new techniques, new everything to contain it. I feel like I am going to burst with it all. I love these times, but they can be overwhelming and frustrating, even a little scary. Doesn’t matter though, I’m just going to keep riding this wave like a professional surfer. I’m going to own it!
