Annual Magic Carpet Ride – OWOH

No I am not watching Aladdin, nor am I taking medicinal therapy. So what do I mean then by my reference to an annual magic carpet ride?

Lisa of A Whimsical Bohemian hosts an annual give away and blog travel adventure.

In her own words:

I created this event in 2007. The original idea behind this giveaway event was to bring bloggers together from around the world who may never ordinarily meet. It closes the gap of the blog community and enables us to interact, discover new and wonderful people, and in the process possibly win a prize or many prizes along the way. 2007 had roughly 85-90 participants and many connections were made because of it……friendships that are still going strong.

At the time of my writing this post there are already 500 participating blogs on the list. That is at the very least 500 items you could win. Alright so you probably wouldn’t win them all but you will win. You are in fact guaranteed to win. What?

What are you gauranteed to win?

The opportunity to meet new bloggers you may not have otherwise happened upon in your travels. This is the real heart of this event for me. Meeting and interacting with other folks online who really ‘get’ what blogging is about. What’s that? Community, sharing and having fun!

So, now for the giveaway stuff. I am offering two paintings as my giveaway items this year. Using a random number generator I will choose two entries from the comments on this post. You must leave a comment below to be included in the drawing and you must leave me your email address in the comment (or fill it out on the form) to participate.

The drawing will take place on February 15th. I plan to make my drawing when I get up (or after my first cup of coffee that is). I will turn off all commenting before I do this so that you can not possibly be left out.

Once I have two winners I will announce them, email them directly and mail off the paintings.

Both of these paintings are original works done in acrylics on 1/4 board. These paintings were painted in July of 2009. I’ve held on to them and not sold them because they do require framing (they are only 1/4 inch thick). You could find alternative forms of displaying them of course, but for hanging on a wall you would likely want to put them into a frame. Each painting measures: 16″ W x 12″ H x 1/4″ D.
