Drawing 8 and 9 for #draw365

The super cold weather plus having been sick off and on for the last few weeks I now have a sinus infection and a constant migrane. I didn’t post my drawing on time, but I did get it done yesterday. Just could not push myself off of the couch to photo, edit and post.

Here is the drawing for Jan 8th:

I am using cardstock and scraps of paper because I have not had the energy to go to the store to pickup a new sketchbook. This cardstock is speckled with bits of color. Not perfect for drawing but I do love the smoothness of the cardstock itself.

When I am sick or otherwise not being careful my left-handedness causes my paper to get a dirty smudged appearance. It is because my left hand and arm move across the paper and smudge my lines. Normally I am much more careful and will keep a clean piece of paper under my hand, but being sick I didn’t do it. You’ll have to forgive me this time.

I know, bad smudges. Sigh.

She had an incredibly pouty mouth which I found impossible to recreate with my pencil. I ended up making her look like she has a mustache.

I am really hoping 2010 will not be the year of extreme weather nor the year of my being sick constantly. Back to the couch now…
