I’m on a stamp making kick, and a music industry rant

My muse decided to run away two days after my oil paints arrived. She does this to me when I get new art toys or learn new techniques. It is one of the reasons I have tried to stay away from online classes and technique books. Well, not too many at once at the least.

While I wait for herself to return I have been playing around with creating little foam stamps. I put together a little video of how I make them. I know others have made similar videos but I wanted to play and share with you all. I am so tired of the licensing crap on YT with music that I have hosted the video here on my site.

The music industry needs to get a clue. Just saying. There are so many ways they can embrace and even harness the value from people using a song on a video instead of disabling the music entirely. When I hear music on a video it makes me want to go buy the song. Idiots!

You know what… I’m going to see if I can get my daughter to sing me a few tracks that I can use in my videos. She has an amazing voice and guess what? That doesn’t really help the music industry, which would be the whole damn point wouldn’t it! I’m just ranting now

I am excited this week because I’m going to be making some pretty homemade paper with my mom. I will take my video camera with me and see if I can document the mess, oh, I mean the process.
