Another of my page spreads for GPP Crusade #42 ‘Strip Ease’
Here I used the reverse dictionary to give me 6 ‘re’ words pertaining to my feelings of the Gulf of Mexico oil spill and how this disaster is ruining not only our lives but our environment and our trust in both corporations and the government. These folks need to be held accountable in a very severe manor. They need to be jailed with tough sentences to send a message to other corporations who play loose and fast with our world.
Christy – thanks for sharing your work with the team. These pages are obviously filled with emotion which comes through in your colors and your thoughts. I hope the ripping was goof therapy too
A journal is a great way to vent, don’t you think? Bravo for getting it out on paper!
You can’t really see the ripping of pages, but the fury is evident.
I think the red you have used says it all in terms of your emotions. The result is very, what’s the word, forceful maybe? Certainly dramatic. Love it.
your anger speaks from these pages, really strong work of art, it speaks out loud. Love it!
hi there.
so emotional. wonderful.
i love the grunginess of this spread. excellent.
Très touchant! De plus ça fait réfléchir!
Red is the perfect color for this….I see red too when I think about the disaster and how it is being handled.. well done putting this on your pages.
Yes, well done! You’ve put your emotions to good use – your pages are beautiful.
powerful pages and a great use of the strip ease crusade.
This is a powerful page. The red is perfect and also the words you chose to feature tell it all.
The blood red says it all. I really liked seeing the smaller images too.
A very vibrant and powerful piece, Christy. Great art work!
Let’s hope this latest cap holds and the oil flow is stemmed -although it’s far too late, of course.
Hello Christy,
a strong page with a big visual impact and a strong message.
Don’t blame it all on the government… blame it on the compagnies and people who have only eyes for money and earning more and more money, just realizing when everything is ruined, you can’t eat money…
We too drive our cars… so we are a little part of it…
But I hope for all the people over there that the government does all she can to bring the responsable people for this disaster to court. Money must be spend now to recover everything as good as it can.
Government must make laws to held compagnies back so disasters like this won’t happen again.
Strength

I just finished this challenge, and I am so eager to work on my stripease journal page. This is an excellent work-up, and an important topic. Love the colors, too.
