I have had this cigar box hanging around my studio for over a year now. Always intending to alter it but somehow not getting to it. This morning I was ready to start a new painting and decided that the top of the box was just about the perfect size for my current series of daily paintings. So here is the second painting of a girl from Ireland, only this time on a cedar lined cigar box from the Dominican Republic. You can see more photos and have a chance to bid on her on eBay here. SOLD
And my close friend (artist and one of my collectors) has just launched the pre-sale of her adult coloring book here. I’ve been watching them sell like crazy today on Facebook so if you have any teenagers or young women on your Christmas list this year who like to color with markers or pencils you might want to think about getting this book. I was amazed at the price $10.95 (pre-sale). Here is a little bit of what Linda has to say about this book:
the books are 11″x14″ and open like a calendar, there are 11 different WHL coloring pages, there are 11 facing pages designed for you to Name and write a story about your WHL. The front and back covers are in full color… with thumbnail pics of all of the WHL. There are instructions about how to use the interactive pages, this is not a crayon coloring book, this book is designed to use colored pencils or fine tip markers, there is a lot of detail in the images and each WHL page can be framed when you are finished coloring…I think that teenagers or adults will love this book. Lots of people have told me that they still love to color as much as they did when they were little. Hence the “Wild Haired Ladies” coloring book.

I will be buying one for myself and one for my daughter Alex. And I’m hoping Linda will sign them both for me
