I enjoyed yesterdays limited palette so I decided to paint in green and brown tonight. The palette reminds me of the moss that grows on the Cypress trees that fill my backyard. So I named this painting “Green Spanish Moss” or “Musgo Espanol Verde”.
Green is such a comfort color to me. And it always makes me want to eat fresh garden veggies so it’s is a good color for me to work with.
This painting gave me some troubles, specifically that pouty lower lip. And as is my custom I left the hands with greater contrast in the shadows and highlights.
There is a bit of glare at the top, it’s late and inside light is never enough.
she is gorgeous like you went to ireland and painted a local
this green says that to me
spanish moss is good too…
