• Art Journal Page: Do You Know

Posted on May 6, 2011 by in Art Journals

One of my favorite things to do when not painting is to work in my art journal. And one of the things I like to do is to reuse sketches and small studies and add them in. This way I don’t have stacks of sketch books lying around, but instead have my personal journals filled with my art and thoughts.

Because my studies are done in a 12″ x 12″ format and my art journals are a more standard book size (about 9″ x 10″ or 7″ x 9″) I generally find I have to cut the images down. This works for me as I like to place faces on the edges of the page.

This is my journal page from yesterday. Enjoy!

The quote reads “Do you know how much she loves you?” I was thinking of my daughter at the time and how she has been suffering a bit from a broken heart.
