New Abstract Pieces – Free to paint again

It has been a bit of a rough patch with the muse around here. I wasn’t listening to her and I wasn’t humble enough. Soon though I was able to see the error of my ways and showed her my frail and human side. I am always thankful when she returns to me even though I am not always worthy of her gift.

Each of these pieces evolved together and yet separately. I paint for the most part in a wet on wet style and have had six of these going pretty much at one time. You can see how each one has influenced the other and yet they remain their own.

I have three more that should be completed today and then I start a new month and would like to move further into the abstract. And yet I have hopes of bringing in a bit of figurative or portraiture into a few of them.

Wish me luck and more important I hope I can remain humble in the face of my muse and her continued care of my work.
