• Florida is a Sandlot Circus

I have been driving in the state of Florida since I was 16 years old. For as long as I can remember the cost to renew my registration / tag was somewhere between $25.00 – $35.00.Since the big recession starting in 2008 it has cost me $70.00+ to register a single vehicle that is used primarily for personal use and to get back and forth to work within a 20 mile radius.

Who makes these decisions? How is it that the economy has tanked, our homes are not worth the cost of mowing them annually, but I can pay double what I did just 3 years ago to renew a car tag? This is something I just don’t understand.

We need to vote these people out and get some folks in office here in Florida who understand what it is like to live in a state with little to no growth, even less job opportunities and a housing market that is the equilvilant to a sewer.

I want the Florida I grew up in back. I want a stable economy and a stable housing market and folks in our government who have a clue. If we could vote tomorrow I would vote them all out. Good thing for our current elected officials there isn’t an election tomorrow.

I agree with you , I want my Florida back. I have lived here for 35 years and you are right , things have changed a lot. We paid $ 148.00 registration for my husband truck this year…???? I taught it was a mistake.
