• I See – Art Journal Page

Not too much to say about this because sometimes the content is far removed from anything I need to say outside of my journal. It is more of a random stream of thoughts that I journaled while watching the news. Yes it is about a particular subject, but it isn’t about art and it isn’t earth shattering.

Sometimes my journal is just well, a journal :)

I asked my daughter who she thought this face looked like. Her answer was not what I expected and I was glad of that. A particular famous actress keeps appearing [in my eyes anyway] in my work and it bugs me. I don’t know why it does, or why I keep seeing her in my faces. I don’t particularly like or not like her. I just don’t really want her to keep showing up! Go away I say to her each time she appears. But she just keeps coming back.

The left hand edge was painted over a black base and the right hand [behind the profile] was painted over a white base. Can you see the difference in the colors? They are the same paints on both sides.

Just playing around in your journal you can learn a lot about your tools and how to use them. Try new things, experiment, make notes even of the things you learn.

And of course journal, even if it is about mundane or nonsensical thoughts while you are preoccupied.
