I love “embrace your obsessions” – I will be co-opting that one!

The best advice I ever got was actually regarding my wedding day – someone told me that one my wedding day, any time someone came up to me and asked me a question to do something I was to grab the nearest person and ask them to deal with it. BEST advice for a bride ever!

In my creative life – something that sticks with me is that there is no “way” – I can do or not do, finish or not finish, and can make ugly stuff just for the experience of it.

My best advice is ” I don’t have to do anything I don’t WANT to do”. I don’t have to do collage pieces in “3′s” or do lots of colors or layers. I can even put a floating head if I want. So…..forget who says what and go for it.

the best creative advice i received was there are no rules in art, follow the path that you want

You know that advice was hard earned on my part. Being a rules girl {HTML and CSS are like rules} I started out trying to learn all the rules. Now I pretty much ignore most of them anyway!

I love the follow your heart & Embrace your Obsessions. This has become an obsession for me & it does help dealing with pain – most of the time. Im in love with art & art journalling again. Ive sporadically drawn horses over the years but all this is new territory & I want to learn everything, rules or no rules. It has been soooo much more freeing than scrapbooking as nothing has to be finished- you can do a bit here, there & everywhere. Thanks for being an inspiration & rock on 2012 & let it be an awesome year for us all
