• DAJP #35 Last Post This Year

    I’m seeing tons of artist posts about resolutions, picking words for the year, goal setting, etc.

    I’m not feeling it.

    Instead I am planning business as usual. Continue to push forward, continue to look for and see the possibilities. Continue to strive for my best.

    And practice. Especially the things I am not my best at.

    I posted this earlier in 2011 and I think it still applies:

    Learn These Things Now to Avoid Learning Them the Hard Way Later

    1. You Must Keep Getting Better
    2. Some People Will Disappoint You.
    3. Aid Will Sometimes Appear from the Most Unlikely Place
    4. Keep What Is Important in Your Name and Under Your Control
    5. You Have Choices — Use Them

    {The DAJP (daily art journal page) count will reset each year. So tomorrow will begin at #1}

    Happy New Year!

    i read every blog post, but i don’t ever comment really. that’s weird and lurky of me. i just wanted you to know that i do come over here every day and gaze at your art journal page for a while. never for a sec – for a bit – to see what i might learn.

      Thanks Amy. I read your blog every time you post too! It is ok if you don’t always comment. That just means when you do comment it must have really resonated with you ;)

    I’m with you on this one! No resolutions or words for me. It is enough a stretch for me to be enrolled in a class that takes all year (eep). I will simply be the best me I can be while I ride the wave where it takes me.
