• Why I Sell Collage Sheets

Posted on December 7, 2011 by in Art Journals, Blog, Featured

I love creating new faces and painting. Sometimes when I sit down to work in my art journal though, I don’t always want to draw and paint a whole new face. Sometimes I want to work with collage and play. Yet, I also don’t want to use a face from a magazine. So I use collage sheets.

There is something freeing about working with an image that I know I can just reprint if I need to. And a bit of excitement in altering her into a new face.

With this girl I changed: her cheeks, eyes, skin tone, jewelry, dress color and lips. I also added new lines in her hair and a few other little tweaks as I went along.

On this girl I changed: her hair, skin tone, eyes, lips and gave her a new top to wear.

The possibilities are endless and that is what attracts me the most {and is why I sell them to other artists}. To share them and maybe get to see even more new possibilities!
