What is it about monkeys {ok I know this is a chimp, but still}? {DAJP #22}

Monkeys, Chimpanzees and Gorillas. I love them.

Planet of the apes was one of my favorite shows when I was a kid. I still love it. And the new movie by the same name, they did really good with it. I am really glad that they didn’t try to recreate the original storyline, or modernize it. I loved that it was a whole new take on things.

Off shopping on Thursday and we have to stop at the beauty supply store. Keith {my daughters boyfriend} was with us. He was not looking all that excited about the prospect of dealing with the three of us women in a beauty supply store.

But then he realized that in the same plaza is the big jungle themed pet store that has several chimps and lots of monkeys. His face brightened and he said “Monkeys! I am going to visit the monkeys”.

We had to drag him out.

Yes, he is a keeper!
