• Playing Along

    Like a lot of art journalers I have been playing along with Traci Bautista on her Strathmore lessons. {DAJP #16}

    These are my pages from lessons one and two.

    If you read my blog often then you already know I am a big believer in ‘leveraging your art’. I have been doing it for quite a while now. Everything from scanning my drawings to reuse to using bits and pieces from my paintings in my art journals.

    Recently I have embarked on creating all of my own stencils and using the designs both in my work but also in my digital work as overlays and brushes and patterns.

    It gives a cohesive look and feel to my work. It would be just like buying up all of the elements of an entire scrapbook line to have at the ready. In fact that is kind of what I have done. Created my own line of art journaling tools.

    It is nice to see that there are other artists who share my philosophy.
