I then take these simple line drawings and turn them into full mixed-media paintings. Instead of putting them in the class folder as documentation I thought it would be fun to offer them for sale.

These are done on book weight paper {approximately 60 – 80lb} and will require framing. But for a collector they are an affordable way to own original one of a kind art.

Because these are for a class I decided to record this first one to see how well my new HD camera will work for video class recordings.

While I wait for herself to return I have been playing around with creating little foam stamps. I put together a little video of how I make them. I know others have made similar videos but I wanted to play and share with you all. I am so tired of the licensing crap on YT with music that I have hosted the video here on my site.

The music industry needs to get a clue. Just saying. There are so many ways they can embrace and even harness the value from people using a song on a video instead of disabling the music entirely. When I hear music on a video it makes me want to go buy the song. Idiots!

You know what… I’m going to see if I can get my daughter to sing me a few tracks that I can use in my videos. She has an amazing voice and guess what? That doesn’t really help the music industry, which would be the whole damn point wouldn’t it! I’m just ranting now

I am excited this week because I’m going to be making some pretty homemade paper with my mom. I will take my video camera with me and see if I can document the mess, oh, I mean the process.

At the end I flip through the entire journal. I think I have about 10 pages maybe left to paint and journal.

What better place than my journal. I managed to record the making of one of the pages and here is the video:

My butterfly painting was complete last night, but today I have decided it needs just a bit more so I’m off to play a bit.
