Today’s Painting – Bosque Prohibido

Not traditional apple trees, just my interpretation of them. The red and apple green together makes this piece really pop. And the light blues and mossy greens in the background give it a magical feeling.

A Hidden Forest – How Wet on Wet Can Evolve Into An Abstract Painting

Creating something from nothing is a big deal to me. Here I allowed the wet on wet method to show me this sweet hidden forest. About this painting: Acrylics, watercolors and permanent artists ink on wooden panel. Measures 9.25″ wide x 10″ high. Sides are painted a soft white at approximately 1″ thick.

Wet on wet may be frowned upon in certain art circles, but it remains my favorite method.
